Last Friday 11th of March the most destructive earthquake of the last century hit the Japanese province of Miyagi; it had a magnitude of 9.0 Richter and produced a 10-metres-tall Tsunami.
After the quake, a nuclear emergency was declared around Fukushima 1 power plant, producing a massive evacuation of hundreds of people in a ratio of 30 kilometres around it. Habitants of Fukushima’s surroundings received medical treatment to prevent intoxication by radioactive elements present on the air.
Today painful counts are made; more than 10.100 people lost their lives, and more than 12.000 still missing. The Japanese community received a huge hit; we must show our support to all that people that lost their goods, houses and relatives.
